MY FIRST RDK X5 PROJECT IS LIVE!

After a lot of learning, debugging, and sleepless sessions - I finally built my first real AI Vision project on the RDK X5!

Project Name: AI Vision Model
The robot sees through my Oppo F27 camera in real-time and Claude AI tells it exactly what's in the frame!

What I Used:

Hardware:
- RDK X5 (10 TOPS BPU) - the AI brain
- Oppo F27 - live camera via WiFi

Software & Libraries:
- Python 3 - core language
- Flask - web server & dashboard
- OpenCV - image processing
- Requests - fetching camera frames
- NumPy - image array handling
- Threading - background frame grabbing
- Base64 - image encoding for API

AI:
- Claude Sonnet (Anthropic) - Vision Model
- Sends live camera frame + prompt -> gets intelligent description back

Platform:
- RDK Studio v1.2.1 - development environment
- IP Webcam app (Android) - phone camera server

The coolest part? I fixed a nasty MJPEG boundary error that was breaking OpenCV - replaced cv2.VideoCapture with a requests-based frame grabber. Took a while to figure out but SO satisfying when it worked!

This is just the beginning. Next up - object detection using the RDK X5's onboard BPU!
