Ah thanks, but it's my school! Maybe I'll do a vlog of our school facility?

I wanted to make a little more and show you, but as I was developing it, it took a while and it's still in development.

Hey everyone! I turned a cheap robotic arm kit into a lab assistant like Dum-E from Iron Man using the RDK X5 to train it!

Did you provide the code to BUD-E anywhere?

I would like to use the D-Robotics RDK X5 to detect theft in my local area with following features:
1. Face/human body recognition.
2. Face sketching into form of data and storing them with time, and date in database.
3. Attach a one layer laser barrier to easily detect housebreak in night time, and add sirens and emergency warning :warning_sign: to inform locals.

Hi guys! I've created a 4k camera pipeline for the X5 with the IMX477 sensor, that can run on the BPU, with hardware acceleration. The code is publicly available. Hope it helps someone.

Hi boldizsarfodor. On RDK X5, to make IMX477 sensor run on 4K. Please refer to this repo:
https://github.com/D...timedia-samples
Try to revise the vp_sensors config to 4k and recompile

Only ~100$ cost, rock-solid performance! :rocket:

:burn: No Mac mini M4
:burn: No high-end GPU
:burn: Not even a cooling fan needed (X5 is truly passively cooled!)

With just an RDK X5 + Sensor module,
you can run vision + speech + LLM-driven robot applications locally!

:ampoule1: Perfect for:
:white_heavy_check_mark: AI enthusiasts
:white_heavy_check_mark: Robotics beginners
:white_heavy_check_mark: Geeks who want low-cost edge AI deployment

Excellent! I was just about to ask the same thing since I saw in a post that they were using an Nvidia card to do something similar. I'll try it.

I'm a complete beginner, could you please recommend a playlist of YouTube channels that provide detailed information about using the Robotics RDK X5?

ZERO to ONE: The Guide to Building a Bipedal Robot with the RDK X5

Many think bipedal robots are exclusive toys for elite labs, with million-dollar price tags and impossible algorithms. But with the RDK X5 and the open-source RL ecosystem, building an AI-driven biped in your own garage or dorm is now a reality.

I've navigated the pitfalls from simulation to hardware so you don't have to. Here's the "level-up" roadmap to mastering the Sim2Real loop:

:burn: Hardware: No bulky PCs-RDK X5 handles 50Hz inference in a decoupled "Brain & Cerebellum" architecture.
:burn: Agile: A ~8kg headless build optimized for reinforcement learning gaits.

The Workflow:
1 Sim Training: Massive parallel RL in Isaac Gym.
2 Validation: Cross-engine testing for better generalization.
3 Deployment: Real-world testing via RDK X5 and ROS 2.

Check out the full "Zero to One" tutorial here:
