Hello,
I have a few questions regarding the RDK Challenge.
1. Do participants need to purchase their own development boards?
2. Are we free to develop a project based on the given theme until December 15?
3. Will the judging process be conducted online?
4. Is team participation allowed, or is it limited to individual participants?
I would appreciate it if you could clarify these points.
Thank you for your time and assistance.
Best regards,

Thank you for your interest in the RDK Challenge! Please see our answers below:
1. Development board: Participants generally need to arrange their own RDK X5 board. If you already have one, you can use it. All participants or teams who complete all three stages and the required submissions can receive the USD 150, it is kind of like reimbursement.
2. Project and deadline: Yes, you're welcome to develop your own project within the challenge theme and requirements. The final submission deadline is December 15, 2026. The three stages have suggested milestone dates, but you can work ahead and progress flexibly, provided you complete all required stage submissions by the final deadline. See the challenge overview. https://github.com/D...hallenge-Winter
3. Judging: Projects are reviewed through the submitted GitHub repositories, documentation, and demo videos. The published process is based on these online submissions; any additional presentation arrangements will be announced separately.
4. Team participation: Both individuals and teams can participate. Teams should register in advance and list their members in the project submission. See the participation and award terms.
We look forward to seeing what you build!
