I'm trying to get clear audio from my speaker. I'm using this UPS and this amplifier, and 2x 18650 batteries in parallel. If I connect the amp to the battery, or to the 5V of the raspberry pi, I get horrible interference. But If I connect it to a completely separate battery, it is completely perfect, no noise, just clear audio. But I don't want to maintain another battery just for the speaker. What's the best way to get rid of this noise? Also, I constantly get "warning low voltage" warnings on my Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.1 with this UPS. I already tried to solder a 1000 uF electrolytic capacitor to the input, it didn't help.

Else you can maybe use a dedicated small step up connected to the battery... tell us what you try and what are your results !

Ooh, interesting! I placed an order for the aliexpress one. I found one that had the "choice" express shipping. They usually take 2 weeks to arrive. I'll report back if it fixed my problem. Thanks!

J'avais aussi le problème de "low voltage" avec le speaker dès qu'il s'activé, à en faire planter la Pi... J'ai aussi mis un capa de 1000µ et ça à resolu le problème. Par contre, malgré mes montages foireux, je n'ai jamais eut de parasites.

I haven't had luck with the "filterless" pam modules regarding noise.

I think noise is because they are filterless pam modules (like on tooster).

There are also "galvanic isolators" or "isolated dcdc converter" for 5V in, 5V out. It would be like it's powered from a different power source. I have some that are 100mA, which would be a bit tight for a speaker. But 250mA or more should work.

Ordered both the PAM8302A and the B0505S-2W.... In 2 weeks I'm going to need to set aside a whole day to test all the combinations of these to see which one, or which combinations provide the best results

The PAM8302A arrived, and it's absolutely noiseless. Maybe a little bit quieter than that first filterless module that I tried. It even has a "shutdown" switch that I am yet to connect. The rest of the items will arrive sometime this week, I'll try combining the filterless module with those. Thanks for the suggestions!

The primary metric by which i'd judge them, is how quiet the silent periods are.

The results:
In my opinion, the best microphone is:
#8 robot-maker mic v2.

Also good are:
#2, #3 and #7/#9, although the #7/#9 are very quiet.

Interestingly, #4, while it was the loudest out of the box, has a non-stop loud buzzing noise.

About n°8 what "hardware config" did you used ? There are 2 configurations that can be soldered on the bottom. The most important being the gain : 3 configs are possible: no solders , solder point on the right and solder point on the left . But if you remove the plastic cover , either do not remove the top part around the mic or be careful to not remove the mic with the plastic part...
The orange ai mic was at 9:euro_sign: but now it is not built anymore and the few pcs still available are near 30$ or more.

If you want perform more tests you can put a solder joint either like the blue or the red circle on this picture :
( but don't short both pads )
This config allow you to increase/ decrease the gain and sensitivity. With better gain you will hear people better from far away but might increase the noise but you can also lower the gain and reduce the noise.

Gain is pretty good already. It's already louder than the orange ai and boya mics.

If you are curious you can try it. Changes are significant. For the second available config A/R I do not really perceive the change ... The AR (Attack/Release) pin allows you to configure the Automatic Gain Control (AGC) circuit timing. By changing this ratio, you control how quickly the amplifier reduces the gain when a loud sound occurs (Attack) versus how quickly it restores the gain when the sound gets quiet (Release)
