we need 50 watts of power though. i already sized my battery to deal with 200 watts of motors

yeah true.
i think I'm just scared that it won't reach your speed because i really don't know how much power you will need. it's just a guess and i can be very wrong at times..

true. more power is better than less power i guess.
right now with what i want is kind of like running over a mario kart mystery block.
makes sense. higher gearbox = less torque but more RPM
with a heavy vehicle you need more torque to start rolling

i mean the gearbox fixes that.

i believe they should be somewhat proportional,
example:
1. motor 100rpm 100kg x cm
2. motor 10000rpm 1kg x cm

->add a 1:100 gearbox to the second motor and you get 100rpm 100kg x cm (minus losses)

hm that motor is probably only 50W at or with the 24V variant. like the one on AliExpress i linked.

yes very confusing, that's what I meant. there's 12V / 24V and since you can't select "which version", it becomes clear it's the same motor.
then it just depends on ehat it's designed for: whether 24V is overdriving the motor or 12V is underdriving it

that's rated at 10,000 RPM at 24 volts. half of the power that'd be 5,000

a review says they burnt it out on 24V, and another that it swallows 22A at 16V. so that sounds like it's a 12V designed motor

yeah that seems very overpriced. that thing seems massive
wow that is cheap. i HATE buying stuff off of ali but i might make this as an exception. have you used aliexpress regularly before? is it safe to use?
or is it just like ebay where people can list stuff except here it's companies selling their stuff.

so our 775 3 billion RPM motor attaches to the back of that and then boom. looks massive for a 775 though.
