Hey, so i was following this, i burned the ISO on the SD card and now the documentation says i need to connect a monitor RDK X3 via the HDMI, I dont have a monitor, i have an HDMI cable tho, is there any way i can use the laptop screen as display for the RDK-X3? is there any work arround to this? What are you guys using?

You could use it headless by connecting to it through ssh

If you want to use a old laptop screen as a monitor there are kits online that can do that.

like you have to make a ssh file and upload it

1. Enable SSH via MicroSD Card (If the OS is on a MicroSD)

If the RDK3 runs an OS from a microSD card (like Raspberry Pi OS or a custom Linux distro), you can enable SSH by:
1. Insert the microSD card into your computer.
2. Mount the boot partition (usually named boot).
3. Create an empty file named ssh in the boot partition:

touch /path/to/boot/ssh

or manually:
:bullet: Open the boot partition in your file manager.
:bullet: Right-click > Create New File > Name it ssh (without extension).

4. Eject the microSD card, insert it back into the RDK3, and power it on.
5. Try SSH:

ssh username@<IP_ADDRESS>

but there is something not very suitable for sunrise, root recommend.

Monitor is not necessary, we can use VNC or ssh, ssh recommend:fullwidth_comma:because xfce Desktop will wast performace.

Window maker is a good window manager that is very minimal

i have connected the RDK X3 via ethernet cable, in the terminal its just hung like in the image.
