on Bullseye, the current OS release.
Hardware pi 3A.
Oops not true.

Vigimage uses Raspbian 10.
Bullseye is 11.
Bookworm is 12, the current OS.
For a pi 5 you'll almost certainly need Raspbian 12. Idk if the same steps work. @Garfield2142

When I do "npm list" in the vigiclient folder, I get a bunch of "npm ERR extraneous" and "error invalid" messages.
And here's what journalctl says about vigiclient:
Fichier joint  message.txt   8,29 Ko   5 téléchargement(s)
Fichier joint  journalctl_vigiclient.txt   2,76 Ko   3 téléchargement(s)

One of the issue is that vigibot use pigpio and I think that pigpio is not used anymore on pi5

Oh... So, is there anything I can do, as a peasant non tech-savvy user? My "skills" are just copy-pasting errors into AI chatbots and see if they can help me fix them.

We should update the client to detect if pi 5 is used and then use libgpiod instead of pigpio... else we may need to make a dedicated pi5 vigibot client ...

Good grief, i know some of those words.
Perhaps it's just version dependency errors. Have you tried continuing anyway with the commands?

Here is a binding error for @serialport, that's what i had too, and determined by trying different versions until it showed a different dependency like @i2c-port etc....
(Wow my grammatics are shit)
This line `Jun 09 10:17:27 raspberrypi node[807]: at Object.<anonymous> (/usr/local/vigiclient/node_modules/@serialport/bindings/lib/linux.js:2:36)
J`

But this message shows `serialport@8.0.8` not the 9.2.8 from my cmd installs?
What happened when you ran `sudo npm install serialport@9.2.8`?

Ah because `npm list` was from before the install...
Try `sudo npm list` now?
I think i just remembered that sudo or no sudo will install/check to different locations.

Try these:
```
sudo npm i
sudo npm outdated
sudo npm show serialport versions
```

Ok makes sense the `i` = install cmd was necessary xD
:white_heavy_check_mark: Serialport
Try again the i2c and pigpio cmds then check outdated if version changed
