i had asked another friend that's helping me work on this and he suggested a thermoelectric module (basically moving heat from a barrier) but they take way too much power and are probably overkill

I also thought about that... and about using water cooling and about filling the robot with non conductor oil x)

possibly a thermal plate on lower power like 5v so it pulls less wattage?
I'll have to calculate the wattage of that and if it'll kill my battery too fast
but then everything will become all sticky and stuff
and then it'll become impossible to work on

a bit of heat is ok. depending on box it can be fine without cooling
keep in mind that strong forces can temporarily switch a relay

You can also choose a wifi 4g modem and put it on your robot. This way you can have only one 4g hotspot for multiple robot as long as they are not too far from each other.

usually around 40 celcius in 20 degrees celcius ambient temp (inside)
worst case 32 degrees celcius outside
(so basically, very hot, at least for me)

easy trick: heat transfer stays linear independent of temperature.

if your cpu is 20°C hotter than ambient, it will be that at any ambient temperature.

however, [U+2206]T 20°C is very low. i assume it's a case with heatsink.

it raises to about 50 when vigibot is on

briecam reaches up to 70°C cpu in 20°C ambient, (so [U+2206]T of 50°C). it's a pi 3 A - but it's in a near closed case with minimal airflow and high cpu load. a terrible setting regarding heat.

pi 4 cpu throttle is at 85°C, so you can still raise your air temperature to 55°C (130°f) - air temperature in this sense is the inside of your box.

99% of the time in such case the problem is that either wifi ssid / wifi password or robot name / robot pasword is not set properly...
